You’ve probably all heard of those seemingly too good to be true stories of finding love on dating apps. Well, The Gothie’s are proof that finding true love on a dating app is possible! This beautiful couple met each other on one of the leading dating apps today, tinder!
What started as just mere interest and “trying something new”, Tori downloaded the tinder app just like any other young women who is balancing life, work and dating. Tori explained she didn’t have any expectations when downloading the app to begin swiping. When she matched with her now husband, they only chatted within the app for several months before actually meeting in person. After a few months of conversing and finding mutual interest in one another, they decided to meet up at a local restaurant bar for drinks and Tori says their “connection was instant”!
The Bridal Hair Consultation
After seeing my work on Instagram, Tori reached out and inquired about my bridal hair rates at least six months in advance. I always encourage brides in the planning stages of their wedding to schedule bridal hair consultations well in advance because you run the risk of your desired hairstylist already being booked on your special day. I provided Tori with a bridal hair questionnaire to better understand her overall request. From that questionnaire, I learned her wedding would be located in Fort Mill, South Carolina and she was interested in having her mother’s hair styled who was also her Matron-of-Honor (MOH). After customizing a bridal hair budget specific to Bride Tori’s request, she reviewed and booked!
During the scheduled consultation, we reviewed some bridal hair inspiration photos Tori shared so I could understand what about the photos she loved and didn’t love. By the end of the consultation, I was able to create a lovely updo with beautifully pinned curls. For added length, clip-ins from Go Sleek The Hair Co. were used and blended with her natural hair texture perfectly.
Morning of Wedding
Once I arrived on-location I got straight to work. I took time to set up my working space with my hair tools and hair products. I even brought along a few samples of my own products from my apothecary hair care brand Aloe + Coal By T. Spruill® to share. After setting up, I began styling the bride. I was in my zone and enjoying the smooth jazz the brides aunt Evet had playing on the speakers. Bride Tori’s updo came together beautifully and she also incorporated a lavish piece of hair jewelry which made the overall look exude ultra glam.
Next up was Mrs. Janice (MOH) who prior to arriving the morning of the wedding received a refresh to her tapered short cut from Charlotte based licensed cosmetologist, Tiffany Goggins. Tiffany offers an array of in-salon services including bridal services and can be found at her salon Divine Appointment by TG. For the MOH look we took
it up a few notches by giving her curls some bounce with a mixture of growth oil and honey and adding tightly coiled clip-ins which I made myself (new service coming soon). By adding the clip-ins this enhanced the overall hairstyle creating length, volume and fun texture. They also
gave an instant boost in confidence because Janice looked stellar!
As the bride and MOH finished with hair they received make-up application from Da’Shanae of Let My People Free. Both ladies looked flawless!
