When Louisiana soul meets Carolina southern hospitality there is sure to be magic! It was at a New Orleans happy hour just over five years ago when Warren and Erica crossed each others path. There was an immediate connection between the two as they chatted over cocktails for a bit discovering they each shared common interests; foodies, lovers of reading, enjoys history and touring museums. Intrigued and not wanting the night to end, Warren invited Erica out the very next day for their official first date. Little did they know this was the beginning of their love story!

Warren and Erica both relocated to Durham, North Carolina where they are furthering their education and careers. They both wanted to have their wedding ceremony in their new home town and chose the Duke Chapel as their venue which is breathtakingly beautiful.

No strangers to library and/or bookstore dates, the couple’s mutual love of reading is what ultimately inspired Erica’s literary theme vision for their wedding day. Guests wedding favors were books stuffed with New Orleans Pralines from Nola Baby Sweets, and the table centerpieces were books with library cards attached. They also incorporated their love for cocktails in their wedding reception with the same speciality cocktails from when they first met. Such an awesome idea! Warren’s drink was the Hippidy Dippidy (blueberry Cocktail), and Erica’s drink was the Champagne Safari (fruity Champagne cocktail). Bridal Beauty

With the ceremony vision all squared away, it was time to visualize and bring to life Erica’s bridal hair look! When Erica reached out to me she had a general idea of the look she desired which was something to compliment her natural hair texture and included long romantic waves. With my professional recommendations and guidance, by the end of Erica’s bridal hair consultation we had nailed down Erica’s bridal hair look!

Upon arriving on-location to Erica’s bridal hair suite the morning of her wedding, I set up my station and got to work! After adding some clip-in hair extensions for length and volume, many curls, and a few hours later, Erica looked gorgeous!

When all the hair planning and preparation comes together, it feels so rewarding! Thank You Erica for having me as your bridal hair stylist!

Many blessings and Thank You for supporting mane.ediTS®!
