Before I dive into this amazing bridal hair recap, let me ask this to all my bridal hair stylists, have you ever worked with someone and after the first couple of correspondences with them you were able to take a deep breathe, exhale it out, and just smile because you knew that bride had their stuff together?! It’s a wonderful feeling and that is exactly the feeling I had when Bride Olivia reached out inquiring about my bridal hair services.
Bridal Hair Questionnaire and Bridal Hair Consultation
Bride Olivia contacted me directly through my website about two months in advance of her wedding day where I then provided her with my bridal hair questionnaire which I send to all brides. A completed bridal hair questionnaire helps me better assess your request upfront and helps both of us determine if we are a best fit to move forward. Olivia completed her bridal hair questionnaire and I was able to provide her a detailed budget based on her specific requests.
During the bridal hair consultation, I was able to provide real time professional recommendations based on Bride Olivia’s current hair condition and her desired wedding day hair look. By the end of the bridal hair consultation we finalized on hair extensions, hair jewelry placement, and I was even able to appropriately recommend Aloe + Coal By T. Spruill® shampoo and conditioner for her use. As a licensed cosmetologist who also does bridal hair, my priorities will always include the health of your hair and scalp.
The Moore’s Path
Carlo and Olivia’s wedding day signified over 10 years of acquaintanceship, friendship, and love in the making. Little did they both know that over 10 years ago there was divine purpose behind them crossing paths on the campus of UNC Charlotte. Then freshman Olivia and Sophomore Carlo would connect over their mutual love for leadership and playing spades. Exchanging a casual “hello” when they would see one another at the various on campus organizational meetings or when leisurely running around campus was the mere extent of their initial interactions.
Fast forward to six years later, both are proud college graduates who are thriving as corporate professionals. Nothing short of fate, these two young professionals working to establish their roots in Charlotte, NC crossed paths again with the assist of technology; Snapchat! After Carlo “slid” in Olivia’s DM to shoot his shot, the two have been connected ever since.
It’s All in the Details – The Wedding Day
Often times when working with a bride who is her own wedding planner, you just brace yourself for the ride. A bride’s wedding day is usually very emotional for her; hence, you can only image that being on point for everything on your special day is a significant undertaking. Inspired by the warmth of candles, velvet textures, furs, warm colors and cozy vibes, Bride Olivia did a phenomenal job bringing details of elegance, class and simplicity center stage while planning her own wedding. Through the process she discovered a new found appreciation for all the hard work done by wedding planners. She does credit her family for day of logistics and their gracious support.
With no detail left undone, Bride Olivia knew upfront that she wanted an elegant bridal hair updo to beautifully compliment her overall wedding day vision.
Carlo and Olivia exchanged vows at a luxury two home estate with Lake Norman as the backdrop. As a direct result of COVID-19, the couples invitation headcount was immediately cut from 150 guests down to 18 guests. The reduced headcount actually allowed for the couple to comfortably accommodate all 18 guests with a beautiful and fun filled weekend celebrating The Moore’s love! As soon as the global pandemic is over you can find the Bride and Groom retreating to either Bora Bora, Maldives, or Jamaica to enjoy a butler serviced all-inclusive over the water bungalow with picturesque views, clear water, amazing food, and even better cocktails!
