Can you imagine knowing your true love for almost your entire existence?  Well that is the remarkable fact about Bride Jasmine who met her husband LJ in grade school.  Mr. and Mrs. Brewer developed a friendship over ten years ago as kids which grew into them becoming each others best friend and now lifetime loves.

The couple traveled several hours to have a beautiful southern luxury styled wedding at the affluent Biltmore Estates located in Asheville, North Carolina.  The Biltmore is a long time family owned private property of the Vanderbilt family.  Sitting on over 8,000 acres this award winning property offers majestic natural beauty and mountain views which the Brewer’s fell in love with.

From day one when Jasmine reached out to me on weddingwire.com she has been a dream bride to work with.  Being an out of

town bride, Jasmine opted not to have a formal consultation, however, I worked with her virtually to assure her comfort in choosing me as her bridal hairstylist.  Through virtual consults, Jasmine expressed interest in effortless beauty bringing to mind natural and organic inspiration.  She wanted long cascading waves that would last through her outdoor ceremony but not look overly saturated with product.  With that goal in mind, I walked away from the virtual consult excited to execute for her wedding day.

On the day of the Brewer Wedding I arrived on-site and everything was breathtaking.  Once I met Jasmine, we greeted each other with a hug and I began setting up to begin on schedule.  After wand curling more than 22 inches of hair, we had time for the brides hair to set before final styling.  It is important to let curls cool to allow product and sprays to set.  This is what helps prevent you from over using product which may weigh hair down and have it appearing crunchy and leaving it feeling sticky.  During this time Maryland based makeup artist Jessica Ruffin enhanced the brides natural beauty with neutral tones and a soft shade of purple.

For final styling, I gently removed all the clips and softly pulled the ends of each curl to break them up.  Softly tugging the ends of the curls allows them to slightly expand to create a soft wave vs. a tight spiral.  Using a skinny tooth comb or teasing brush, I teased some areas to create fullness and ensure coverage.  In layers, I completed the styling by using a firm hold hair spray.  Spraying in layers ensures all of the hair is sprayed to hold and not just the outer layer. After taming her edges with my favorite wax stick the Bride was ready!
