Like most luxurious and elaborate architecturial structures, the primary focus for the blueprint was the foundation. \u00a0Once a solid foundation is achieved the design options are infinite. \u00a0Think about some of the magnificent architectural structures you see around the world today, Effile Tower in Paris, Taj Mahal in India and Golden Gate Bridge in the US. \u00a0Those structures all started with a solid foundation.<\/p>\n

Just as seen in architecture, you should apply that same idea of focus to your scalp. \u00a0Your scalp is your foundation to the hair strands on your head. \u00a0A healthy scalp should be desired so you can have luxurious hair that is admired.<\/p>\n

When thinking of what constitutes an irritated scalp I am not just talking about the commonly known dandruff<\/span><\/a><\/span>. \u00a0In fact, I am talking about all potential reversible and irreversible scalp conditions which can be identified by a dermatologist. \u00a0Here are a few: psoriasis, dermatitis<\/span><\/a><\/span>, discoid lupus, eczema, alopecia, folliculitis<\/span><\/a><\/span>, etc.<\/p>\n

Ultimately, having a healthy scalp means being aware of what is going on with your foundation and taking steps and\/or performing routines that help in achieving and maintaining the healthiest scalp for yourself. \u00a0You may be wondering what it is you could be doing now to have a better understanding of your scalp\/foundation. \u00a0For starters, begin by simply scheduling an appointment with your dermatologist. \u00a0They will be able to inform you of what is going on with your scalp. \u00a0Next, schedule an appointment with your professional licensed cosmetologist and discuss your findings with them. \u00a0This will ensure you receive maximum attention to your specific needs and will help your stylist better recommend products you should consider using or even should be staying away from.<\/p>\n
