Inauguration 2013

January 21, 2013 President Barack Obama was welcomed as the 44th President of the United States of America during the 57th Inauguration.  President Obama joins the few other past presidents who were fortunate to serve a 2nd term in office.  Having the opportunity to be present in Washington, DC for the inaugural weekend of events was a memorable experience.

From vendors lining the downtown District streets selling t-shirts, buttons and other paraphernalia to food trucks parked ready to feed a new customer, there was plenty to see.  If I could describe the feeling in the air it would be one of pride, joy, gratitude and esteem.  Over 800,000 Americans were live in attendance during the inauguration bearing the cold weather waving their USA flags high and proud.

Whether you were there in person or watched the weekend televised from the comfort of your own home it was a great feeling to witness history being made.

Inauguration 2013Critics were buzzing about everything from the crowd size, performances to even HAIR.  Aside from President Obama’s noticieabley evolving gray mane, First Lady Michelle Obama turned heads with her new hair style.  FLOTUS rocked an edgy layered bob with a textured fringe.  She wore the new hair style with such confidence that the hair, wardrobe and make-up all complimented each other nicely!

Thank you for supporting mane.ediTS!
