Aaron and Jasmine – A Rock “Sturdi” Love

 

 

What better way to say your “I Do’s” than with a mansion and acres of manicured lawn as your back drop?  Well that is exactly how couple Aaron and Jasmine vowed their love to one another.  Nestled on 33 acres of Virginia’s country land, The Mansion at Double R Ranch provided a wonderful guest experience for both the wedding ceremony and wedding reception.  It also allowed for a fun and relaxing weekend escape for the entire wedding party.

 

Booking the Bride

Several months prior to the wedding, Jasmine booked me as her bridal hairstylist and we were able to schedule a full bridal hair consultation to nail down her desired hair style for the big day.  As with all bride-to-be’s, I express the importance of having professional hair and make-up for your wedding because this is one time where the memories captured will last a lifetime. As details were discussed, I asked Jasmine what inspired the overall vision for her wedding day and she explained, “If I had to put a title on it I’d say Modern Romance.  Although the overall vision was Modern Romance, we wanted our guests to be comfortable and feel at home while celebrating this new chapter in our lives.  With that in mind, we opted for southern comfort style food and an open bar for our wedding reception.”

With a day that is thought to be all about the bride and groom, Jasmine and Aaron truly put the guest experience ahead which speaks volumes about the couples concern and love for others.

 

The energy on the Ranch the day of the wedding was bursting with excitement and joy for the bride and groom. There was also lots of work being done by wedding planner Carla Walker of Touche Weddings & Events LLC to transform the large reception space.  With a moderate sized wedding party of six bridesmaids, one matron-of-honor, six groomsmen and one best man, there was sure to be a night of lively celebration. This wedding was without a doubt “Modern Romance” and so much more.  All of the fun, laughs and details were captured by photographer Will Hawkins.
