Happy to check pageantry hair off of my hair styling bucket list. I had the pleasure of styling hair for Ashley Streeme, Mrs. North Carolina United States, during the 2016 Mrs. North Carolina and Mrs. South Carolina – United States pageant. After getting to know Ashley and learning that in addition to community involvement, which she committed herself to prior to entering the world of pageantry, part of her drive to run for Mrs. North Carolina was to be a part of something bigger than herself that will positively motivate women of all ages. Ashley’s recent win will continue to trail blaze the Mrs. North Carolina United States legacy.
The big day kicked off with a bright and early call time where Ashley had hair styling and make-up application for the interview portion and ended with the full on glam for the talent showcase, evening wear and crowning. Being on the job for hair was an absolute honor!
As the new Mrs. North Carolina United States, Ashely is headed to Las Vegas, Nevada to compete for the title of Mrs. United States. Best wishes to you Ashley as you compete to bring the title to North Carolina!
