Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week – Swim 2014

Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week-Swim is the primary event for swimwear designers from around the world to showcase their latest designs.  The biggest names in swimwear fashion show up each July in South Beach Miami, Florida to take part in this grand fashion event.  Not only are clothing designers excited but so are make-up artist and hair stylists.  Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week is the ultimate event where all fashion meets on the runway.

 

For the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week – Swim 2014 showcase I had the pleasure of working on the Poko Pano Brazil hair team with lead hairstylist Brian C. Hawkins.  Poko Pano designer Paola Robba is well known for her sexy, flirty and fun swimwear designs.  The hair vision for Poko Pano’s 2014 collection was clean, soft and sexy!  There were approximately 22 models and each model had a low and deep side part pulled to cascade over the ears.  A soft chignon was created by making a fishtail braid and then rolling and pinning the fishtail braid to the nap of the models head.

 

It was a pleasure working with the team of stylists to execute a look that truly complimented Paola Robba’s designs.  Below are pictures recapping the AWESOME experience!
