Recently NYC was taken over by PLUS SIZE FASHION! Creator Gwen DeVoe successfully executed
a week filled with beauty, fashion and glam all aimed at celebrating and empowering the curvy plus size woman. The week provided opportunities for those in the fashion industry to network through various seminars, brunches and evening mixers. Events were lined up for those interested in learning industry tips to even gaining valuable information on building a plus size model portfolio. The two largest runway shows of the week were the Indie Designers Showcase (Friday Night) and the Retailers/Boutiques Showcase & Industry Awards Event (Saturday Night) both showcasing collections from international designers. These showcases were hands down the top two events of the week to see and be seen.
I was fortunate to have been selected as part of the well known and highly respected Brian C. Hawkins hair team for both showcases. As a participant of the hair team 
it was our responsibility to prep and/or execute pre-planned hairstyles on approximately 50 models. This was a humbling experience and one that I will remember for years to come. I look forward to what is in store next year!
